Delivery

All orders are dispatched by one of our nominated carriers. We use Parcelforce for UK deliveries and for international orders. There might be local duty and/or taxes payable on goods delivered outside the UK. Locomotion Models is not responsible for paying these charges or for any customs delays.

Please be aware that as a part-time team we do not dispatch everyday.

If your order contains an item(s) which are on pre-order, this part of your order will not be shipped until the pre-ordered item(s) in stock.

Collection
Free collection of your order is available from the shop at Locomotion, Shildon. Please await email confirmation that your order is ready to collect. Our team works part time, and therefore there may on occasion be times where extended wait periods apply. Any order placed after 11:00 AM on Thursday is most likely to not be ready for collection until the following week.

You can collect your order during a visit to our Museum. To book a visiting slot/museum admission and to check the opening hours please visit www.locomotion.org.uk

Please note the museum team and the Locomotion Models team are separate, the museum site team will not be able to provide updates on pre-order status or place orders for you.

UK Mainland Delivery
£7.50 fulfilled by Parcelforce 48 hours Standard
Delivery option is available to all UK mainland addresses. Please be aware that as a part-time team we do not dispatch everyday and 48 hours refers to the service used. A signature is required on delivery.

UK Channel Islands
£10.00 fulfilled by Parcelforce.
Please allow extra time for your delivery. A signature is required on delivery.

Europe & The Rest of the World
£30.00 Switzerland delivery.
£50.00 All other international deliveries. Please see the destinations served below.

Import and Customs costs
Please note all parcels delivered outside the UK may be subject to local duty, tariffs, and/or taxes payable on goods. If any customs requirements apply or charges are due, you agree to be responsible for arranging payment of these. SCMG Enterprises does not accept responsibility for payment of any customs charges and local taxes or any delays associated with customs and import. If you are making an international order (i.e. any order delivered to a country other than the UK), you will be the importer. By placing an order you are instructing SCMG Enterprises to engage with a courier or shipment provider to dispatch purchased items on your behalf. Before placing an order, it is your responsibility to check that the products you are planning to import comply with state and federal government import regulations, and that there are no local requirements or restrictions which may affect receipt of your order.
