2025 was a year of great celebration for the railway industry in Britain, marking 200 years of rail travel (along with 50 years of the National Railway Museum in York). However 2025 also saw the start of our Commemorative Wagon range, a popular run of 7 plank wagons emblazoned with designs that recognised key events being celebrated in that year.

We are delighted to say that the very popular range is continuing into 2026. For the 2026 offering the focus will be on Pioneering UK Railways and while we were spoilt for choice, 3 clear choices emerged. These were; the Stockton and Darlington Railway for its status as the birthplace of the modern railway, the Monkland and Kirkintilloch which celebrates 200 years since opening in 2026, and the Liverpool and Manchester Railway which celebrates 200 years since the passing of the act of parliament in 1826 which allowed work on the line to commence.
